let there be tears in your eyes and pain in your cheeks when you laugh too hard, let there be vision of rainbows when it gets too cloudy and u cant take no more, let there be space in your heart, your own heaven on earth, and most importantly.... let there be love.

Can't really say much about hip-hop or rap ... don't really understand the musical significance of the genre, although rappers like Eminem do write good lyrics.

i like neither hip hop nor rap.. i like rnb a lil bit of jazz and easy listening.. not so good at genre's.. not really into what they play on hitz.fm though :) im more of the light and easy mix fm kinda person...
hmm is this hip hop? oopss.. basically i like it because its lovey dovey :P oh my dear me..
Oh ok... my mistake... Based on what you described, I would say that you have a fairly eclectic but commercial ear for music. Try listening to acid jazz standards like MANHATTAN (Eric Johnson) and TENDER SURRENDER (Steve Vai). Both feature suave guitar-playing of the highest order... imagine walking into the most high-class pub in the world and these would be the sort of ambient music that would be playing...

Musical significance? That's pretty pompous of you. Uh, MTV isn't a good representative of any genre. If your only exposure to Hip-Hop is limited to music channels, you really shouldn't opine on the genre at all.
