simple delights

sunday was spent climbing at batucaves. the experience was simply amazing i should say. unfortunately, the camera ran out of battery and so those were the only few photos i managed to capture. well.. probably in a few weeks id make another trip.. and this time.. i'll be better prepared. when i mean better prepared it means.. no coming in beaded slippers, hair tied up in a twist, and a proper backpack to keep my stuff.. :) i had this whole idea that it was kind of a commercialized climbing wall and i wouldnt have to trek on a short trail with mosquitos accompanying me all through the way! :) i laugh at myself now .. i had brought with me.. along with (what i thought was) a cool looking duffel bag, an ipod, a mini fan, a book, sort of a pareo so to sit on and not dirty myself and was nicely clad in what i thought were cool stylo clothes to look good :) its no wonder aman said, " i dont think u can go trekking in nepal" :) oh well it was lesson learned :)

in the past 7 days ..
1. i met paula malai ali in person after watching m the opera :)
2. i managed to follow a strict low carb diet
3. i bought a pair of shoes (im just a girl)
4. i listened to my heart
5. i loved
6. i felt loved
7. i lived my life

'the only reason to live, is life itself. i try to climb up the route so that when i look down and see for myself that there would be something to make my heart gleam with delight'

Mountain climbing? Very interesting... nice songs u could sing while doing this activity include ROCKY MOUNTAIN HIGH (John Denver) and TOP OF THE WORLD (Carpenters). Singing from a high vantage point tends to give your voice a more resonant, all-encompassing tone. Try it and see how your voice envelops the panoramic space that lies before you...

I have yet to watch Gubra but I saw the address to your blog printed in The Star. Thought I visit it.

How was 'M, The Opera'? So far I had read mixed reviews of it.

I was reading The Sunday Star and I came across your page. I was captured by your current reading, The Zahir by Paulo Coelho. Besides, I was captured by your perspective of life.

It is a very good book. A book of life and love. One has to keep bare in mind that life is not a bed of roses, but one's life is like a ship sailing across the sea. And the one, is the captain of her own ship =)

Having said that, all the best in your choosen path. You know the best in your life =)

I just realised something.

Im a regular at Camp 5, and i remember bumping into u a couple of times now ( u are always in a black sports top right?) . I also remember you & your friends taking traversing/smearing/technique classes with Patrick. And i didnt know that you were Juliana Ibrahim..

so today at my parents hse, i was reading some old papers, there was a feature with u on the front page and i went " where have i seen this girl before??" . then when i went to this blog, kinda confirms it's you. :P

but anyway, we'll prob bump into each other at C5 again :)
